from Andrew...

The Friday cupping featured new crop Kenya AA Mirundi, Tanzania PB Selian Estate and Costa Rica SHB San Bosco. We also included Sumatra Mandheling Triple Pick(TP) for a little diversity.

The Kenya Mirundi offers an intense dark berry-like fragrance and acidity - some suggested tomato-basil soup or even a raisin/currant like aroma - the finish is full and smooth. The Kenya was definitely the brightest and most distinct on the table.

Tanzania PB Selian offers a bright citrus-like acidity reminiscent of raspberries and a chocolaty round body. The fun part of the Selian is the cinnamon like fragrance when the coffee is ground.

Costa Rica SHB San Bosco is a great balanced cup with medium acidity, and medium body and smooth finish.

Sumatra Mandheling TP very traditional Sumatra: earthy and cedar-like full bodied.

Overall, an exciting selection of coffees which will start production on MONDAY, of course the Sumatra is already out, so get excited!
