from Alex...Friday Cupping
July 20th
2pm
Thanks to Bo, Alex, Robyn, and everyone who came to cup last friday. We had a great time sipping all the tasty coffees from Africa. All were delicious, but the new Kenya Mirundi was the favorite: sweet, winey, fruity, notes of berries and grapes, and a wonderful velvety mouthfeel. We are looking forward to enjoying this coffee for the rest of the summer and into the fall.
This Friday we will tackle another region and taste coffees from Latin America. This cupping will feature a wide variety of coffees and should be a lot of fun. We will taste Guatemala Antigua Los Volcanes, FTO Nicaragua Segovia, Costa Rica San Bosco, FTO Peru Norte, FTO Viennese Mexican Chiapas, and Brazil Formoza. We will start grinding coffees at 2PM.

the Guatemala this friday will be our new crop selection for 07/08 (until may when new guats start arriving of course) which is, Guatemala Genuine Antigua Pastral: Deep, rich dark chocolate with immense body, just as Antigua should be, from FEDECOCAGUA. More to come on this coffee after we taste...
